| So the plan is to be in kc over labor day weekend...we are not sure how much time we will have, but we will almost definetly be at church.
Back to school time...you would not believe how much the town changes with all of the college students here...the hospital i work at is prettymuch in the middle of all of the college housing. when i get off work at 11pm ( i am working 3-11 now ) there are college students all over, and not all of them are friendly. "scary in the dark" as jason would say.
i hope everyone is either ready or enjoying their first week back...oh yeah, and dont go shopping this week....even if you have no pencils or folders...its not worth it!

| Before I forget. Jason and I both have new phone numbers and are as follows:
Jason 319-400-6877
Dollie 319-400-6876...so let the stalking begin.
Life is just crazy for both of us right now...this past month has flown by, and I have a feeling that this next month will do the same. Jason has a lot on his plate right now; cleaning carpets, taking 2 classes, along with running a student ministry...oh yeah, and spending time with his wife and family. The transition from working 25 hours a week and filling free time with odds and ends to all of this craziness is tough to say the least...but I must admit that there are advantages to being busy.
I am enjoying my job at Mercy hospital here in Iowa City. I will move to the evening position (2:30p-11p) starting August 1. This I must admit does not excite me, but at least I have a job...and one that I enjoy. I know that this is just a phase of my life, and someday I will look back and laugh...hopefully.
My little sister got married this weekend (tear). It was a pretty wedding, but man I'm glad its over...it was a really pretty wedding. She had horses (belgians) with a shuttle carry the wedding party to the site and then she came in on a surry (carriage) with black horses (percherons). Anyway, it was pretty...and now we only have 2 more family weddings this summer...fun times...sorta.
Long enough of a post...I hope you are all having a safe, fun summer.

| An update is past due, but i feel like i dont have a lot of exciting things going on right now...which isnt really true...it just feels like it.
One of my sisters is getting married in two weeks, which will be fun...but also trying on my part. I am trying to stay out of the planning because it is her wedding...but i am such a planner that it is driving me nuts. The Lord is really teaching me patience, through this, as well as other areas of my life. The wedding should be fun though...it is going to be outdoors and my sister is going to be carried to the wedding on a white surry ( as surry is a really nice carriage)...it is so her, which is fun!
Jason and I are getting ready to start our summer, which is packed full o' fun, let me tell you. Jason starts classes on monday, which will be juggled with work and a little bit of youth ministry at our church. I have a feeling our summer is just going to fly by...which is okay because i also feel that it is going to be super hot!
I would love to hear from people on how you are doing...my email is dfkathryn@hotmail.com if you dont feel like leaving an update on my xanga.
Lots of love to you all!

| Seth Robert Owen Flynn
This verse has been on my heart since i read it on sunday night...hope it is as impactful to you as it was to me:
Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
Psalm 51:12
I just feel like that is the prayer i have been looking for my whole life, and will continue to be relevant every day from here on out. | | |
| man these past two weeks have flown by! not a bad thing, but still...
on april 4th our second nephew was brought into this world. he is stinkin adorable....and Grady is so cute with him. His name is Seth Robert Owen Flynn. He is the total opposite of Grady, he will sleep through anything...and i mean anything. That is probably because Grady jumped all over Amanda during the whole pregnancy. Anyway, once again i have fallen in love with another boy. poor jason ;)
Not much else new here in iowa, jason is getting ready to start back to school...again. and i am still working at a hospital here in iowa city. the weather here is awesome, i hope all of you down south are enjoying it as much as we are.
lots of love! | | |
